Biography
In the beginning of 2003, I started to write lyrics for future usage. Many band names went through my mind, like Painbreather and In Thy Sleep for example. Almost 200 different lyrics were made, yet still no music. In the fall of 2006, I formed In Thy Sleep. I made four songs: Vampyric Thorn, Anton LaVey, Affection Thirst and Ferocity Impaled. The music was some sort of Experimental Metal with Gothic and Industrial influences, and the lyrics were more Black/Gothic Metal influenced. I was about to release my first demo "Vampyric Thorn", but I felt that something was missing. I couldn't feel depth or meaning in the music or the lyrics, so I decided to start again from the beginning with a new style and band name. Since Painbreather was one of the first names that I came up with in 2003, I decided to use it. Painbreather plays Industrial Metal and the lyrics are mostly about disturbances in the mind and sense, inner guidance and atheistic belief. The first demo is on its way at the moment.
